Through the course of the Moray Welfare season, all clubs play for their respected leagues, and another three trophies.
Both Leagues are sponsored by Planwell Roofing Supplies Ltd.
In the Premier Division, the team at the top of the League at the end of the season is named champions (self-explanatory). Meanwhile, the two teams who finish 9th and 10th (2nd bottom & bottom) are relegted to the First Division.
In the First Division, the team at the top of table come the end of the season is named champions and is promoted to the Premier Division, along with the runner-up.
The Mike Simpson Memorial Trophy;
In memory of the late Mike Simpson, who did so much for the Elgin Welfare League. This trophy is sponsored by the Simpson family.
The W.J. Tewnion Memorial Trophy;
In memory of the late W.J. Tewnion, who again did so much for the League. This trophy is sponsored year in, year out by the Tewnion family.
The Planwell Roofing Trophy;
This is the last trophy played for during the season, sponsored by Planwell Roofing Supplies.
Clubs also have the oppurtunity of entering National Competitions such as The Daily Record Cup and The Templeton Cup. In the North, there is also an opportunity to enter and play for The Highland Welfare Cup, which is played in memory of former SWFA Secretary Tom Hunter, who died in 2007.
